Chantelle Wilder

Chantelle Wilder

Chantelle Wilder joined the SCU coaching staff in January of 2011.  She is former head coach of the girls cross country program at Los Gatos High School and former assistant coach at Punahou High School in Honolulu.

Wilder is excited to be coaching at the collegiate level and is confident that her experience as a student-athlete, coach and now post-collegiate athlete will be an asset to the program.

Chantelle moved to the Bay Area during the summer of 2010 after spending seven years on the island of Oahu in Hawaii studying and competing for the University of Hawaii at Manoa cross country and track and field programs.
Wilder completed her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management in 2007 and her Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration in 2009.  She wrote her Master’s thesis on “Student-Athlete Development” and feels her knowledge in this field will be useful in her future coaching and administrative endeavors in collegiate athletics.

Chantelle also worked as a graduate assistant for Associate Athletic Director Marilyn Moniz-Kaho’ohanohano at her alma mater. She organized leadership initiatives for student-athletes and served as a mentor for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Following Wilder’s competitive college career she represented Canada at the 2009 World Cross Country Championships in Amman, Jordan.  She is currently a member of the New Balance Silicon Valley racing teams and looks forward to debuting in the marathon in the Fall of 2011.

Originally from London, Ontario, Canada, Wilder now lives with her husband Robbie in Los Gatos, Calif.
