This weekend the Broncos will split the team, sending a small group with Haley Ney, Allie Sibole, Kevin Oliver, and Moises Venegas south to compete in the highly competitive Mt. Sac Relays in Walnut, Calif.
"At this point in the season, it's all about racing fast, so trying to find the competitive meets and all the training is geared toward being sharp and ready to race fast. Mt. Sac is a great opportunity because it's usually got great conditions, national class competition, and will provide a chance for Kevin [Oliver] and Haley [Ney] to make the first round for NCAA's" said Bronco head coach Felipe Montoro.
The remainder of the squad will travel north to Davis, Calif. to compete in the UC Davis Woody Wilson Invitational.
"Davis will be another opportunity to lower personal bests and for those that haven't, hit a mark to qualify for the unofficial championships. There are a lot of the same athletes week in and week out, so the team is pretty familiar with who they are competing against" noted Montoro.
