Track & Field Scores Section Wins in All Four Events at Woody Wilson Classic

Brennan Lagerstrom won his 800-meter section on Saturday, one of four Broncos to capture a section victory at Woody Wilson Track.

DAVIS, Calif. — Santa Clara track & field raced its way to four section victories on Saturday at Woody Wilson Track as part of the Woody Wilson Classic. Emma McCurry and Aditya Mohan captured sections at 1,500 meters while Khiely Jackson and Brennan Lagerstrom outraced their competition at 800 meters.

Christian Raslowsky posted the best overall finish by taking fourth place in the men's 1,500-meter run with a 4:02.01. The sophomore lowered his personal best by more than two seconds in the process.

Hannah Wood was the top finisher for the women in sixth place at 1,500 meters (4:43.52) and doubled back to finish second among Broncos with an 11th-place 2:17.12 at 800 meters.

Greer Chrisman matched an 800-meter personal best 2:16.75 to lead the Broncos with a 10th-place finish. Brennan Lagerstrom notched a 1:55.75 to take fifth place as one of four SCU runners to land in the top 10 at 800 meters.

"I'm really pleased with the progress of our middle-distance group," head coach Felipe Montoro said. "We had several season-best and personal-best times. I'm really looking forward to the next five weeks."
