REDSHIRT SENIOR (2020): Named West Coast Conference All-Academic ... opening day first baseman who started at the position in all 17 games ... batted cleanup in all but one game ... led the team in batting average (.319), hits (23) and sacrifice flies (three) ... tied for the team lead in multi-hit games (seven) ... second on the team in RBIs (18) and total bases (35) ... tied for second on the team in home runs (two) and multi-RBI games (four) ... went 10-for-18 and drove in six runs in the season opening four-game series sweep of San Jose State (Feb. 14 - 16) ... tied a career-high with four hits against San Jose State (Feb. 15) ... hit first career triple against San Jose State (Feb. 16) ... matched a career-high four RBIs against CSU Bakersfield (March 6) ...  committed just one error in 132 chances for a .992 fielding percentage.  

REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2019): Set career-highs in games played (48) and games started (45) ... amongst team leaders in various categories including: third in batting average (.249), second in slugging (.381), second in runs scored (23), second in hits (45), second in runs batted in (20), first in doubles (12), tied for third in home runs (four), third in total bases (69) ... tied for third in at-bats (181) ... had 11 multi-hit games including a four hit game against BYU (May 16) ... hit first career grand slam against BYU (May 16) to help the Broncos to a 4-2 win ... posted a seven-game hitting streak (April 2 - 13) going 11-for-31 in the span ... successfully reached based in 11-straight games (Feb. 24 - March 16) ... started 10 games a first, 21 at left, 12 in right and two as the designated hitter.  

REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2018): Played in 24 games, starting in 11 ... made seven starts at designated hitter, two at first base and two at left field ... hit .250 and drove in 12 runs on 44 at-bats ... six of his 11 hits were for extra base hits (four doubles and two home runs) ... second on the team in slugging percentage (.477) ... hit home runs in back-to-back games in the Washington State series (April 20 and 21) ... had four multi-RBI games including a season-high four runs driven in against Washington State (April 20). 

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2017): Played in 38 games and made 17 starts at designated hitter ... posted a .268 batting average and a .463 slugging percentage ... hit seven doubles and three home runs while driving in 15 runs and scoring six himself ... recorded an RBI double for his first-career hit against Cal Poly on Feb. 28 ... hit an RBI double in his first-career start against UConn (March 14) as the Broncos won 9-5 ... hit his first home run as a bronco on March 25 against then-No. 21 San Diego ... went 2-for-2 at the plate and scored two runs of his own on March 26 as the Broncos upset San Diego by a score of 15-12 ... went 2-for-4 at the dish against Gonzaga (April 14) including a double, a home run and three runs batted in ... pinch hit and delivered an RBI single at Pepperdine in an 8-6 Bronco win on April 28 ... hit a two-run home run on May 6 against BYU.

FRESHMAN (2016): Redshirted the 2016 season.

PRIOR TO SCU: Graduated from Air Academy High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2015 ... posted a .507 batting average in his senior year along with .564 on-base percentage, .913 slugging percentage, knocking in 31 RBI and seven home runs in 21 games .... team captain his senior season ... named to the Colorado 4A all-state team his junior and senior seasons ... helped his team to a first place finish (16-5) in the Pikes Peak Athletic Conference in 2015.

PERSONAL: Parents are Mike and Julie McCarthy ... has two older siblings, Shelby and Austin ... father punted for the Miami Dolphins ... can solve a rubik's cube in  30 seconds ... hobbies include mountain biking, hiking and skiing.
