Dick Davey (On setup last play for potential tying shot)"We set up a play to try to put ourselves in a position to tie the game with a three-pointer. San Diego did a good job of defending our shooters and took us out of what we wanted to do. So, we ended up taking a shot that wasn't very easy."
(On familiarity of playing same opponent in back-to-back games)"Both teams had the same opportunity. We know what they do. They know what we do. Both teams did a pretty good job of taking each other out of their game plans. Both teams played pretty well defensively. They made some free throws. We didn't get to the line enough. We needed to get the ball inside more in order to get to the free throw line."
(On lack of second-chance points)"We really got no second-chance points in the first half. I think that was due to San Diego's aggressiveness and the way they played physically. They did a good job of keeping us off the boards. They out rebound their opponents by something like six or seven rebounds a game and they do a good job of getting to the line."

"I'm sure (San Diego) was a little bitter after we pulled one off and celebrated on their home floor on Wednesday. I'm sure they were dying to get back up here and get even with us. They are a solid defensive team. They don't foul much and they play physical. Whenever we play San Diego, it is always a defensive battle. It is always a knockdown, drag-em-out. We stood around too much of offense and they were taking advantage of it. We are still okay as far as the league standings go. We still have a chance to do some good things. You never know in the WCC."

"(San Diego) played good defense on the last possession. They forced us to take a tough shot from far out. We let them back in the game. They had a lot of incentive to win tonight. You could tell by the way they played. They play hard and they play physical. They kept playing hard and they hit some big shots. In the end, it was a close game that anybody could have won. You have to give them credit. They played good defense and we didn't play that well offensively."
