Head Coach Michelle Bento-Jackson
On the game:
"We did play very well today for the first 30 minutes, and especially for the first 10 minutes of the second half. We did get a little bit sloppy there in the end, and we just have to be able to play solid and continue building our leads for 40 minutes."
On Kasey Monteith's and Jen Gottschalk's performances:
"Kasey and Jen were very sharp for us today. We're always looking to have that balance in our scoring, and I thought that Kasey came in, was very intense and aggressive, and made very good decisions on the floor today. When she makes solid decisions, she puts herself in a good position to succeed."
On Chandice Cronk's 16-point performance:
"I've talked to Chandice about mixing up her game, and today she did a very good job of playing in attack mode and definitely being the aggressor out there today."
Forward Kasey Monteith
On matching her career high with 16 points:
"Fortunately the Portland posts were playing behind us today, so when I set up underneath, I just tried to get as low as I could and it worked out."
On bouncing back from Thursday night's loss:
"It was very important for us to take that energy from Thursday night's game and channel it today in a positive way. We did a good job of putting the game behind us and focusing on getting the job done today."
On the performances of the post players in recent games:
"Jen's performances this weekend have been unbelievable, and her ability has added to our scoring down low, which opens up the three-point shooters. When we can bring defenders down inside with us, it opens things up for the shooters and they can hit the threes."
