SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara women's basketball team will help millions of Americans fight breast cancer this month as they participate in the annual American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25 at the Arena Green on the Guadalupe River Trail in San Jose.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is an opportunity for the Broncos to honor breast cancer survivors, educate women about prevention and early detection, and raise funds and awareness for various research and support programs. Since 1993, 3.5 million walkers across the country have raised more than $230 million through Making Strides events.

The Broncos' fundraising goal for the walk is $10,000 and fans and community members can sign up join the Broncos in the event, or simply pledge a donation to the American Cancer Society by visiting the link provided at the top of the page or by clicking here.
