SCU: Being a redshirt senior, how do you plan on being a leader, and impactful player for you team this season?
RZ: This season I am really hoping to bring my experience to the court. Being a fifth year senior, I am familiar with the teams and individual players in the West Coast Conference so I am really hoping to contribute to bringing our younger players up to speed.
SCU: Being a center, what are some key points to your game?
RZ: I try to focus on being a low block presence on our team by working to get a good position down low in order to score or help my teammates get open in that way.
SCU: Throughout your time here at Santa Clara, what has been your favorite memory, game or moment with you team?
RZ: My favorite basketball moment has to be our game against Southern Utah University two years ago. We were down eight points with about one minute left to play and managed to come back and win by Ashley Armstrong hitting a buzzer-beater three point shot.
SCU: Being a business major, what do you see yourself doing? Do you plan on continuing your basketball career outside of college?
RZ: As of now, I am not planning to play basketball after my college career is done. I am hoping to find a job in the financial sector and start my career in the Bay Area.
