SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's rowing was swept Saturday against Saint Mary's in Moraga.
The Gaels topped the Broncos in the Varsity 8 race by 23 seconds. Santa Clara finished with a time of 8 minutes and 15 seconds. Saint Mary's also took the 2nd Varsity 8 race and the Broncos came in third in the Varsity 4.
The weather conditions on the reservoir included a 13-15 mph headwind with 16-18 mph gusts throughout.
The Broncos off until the WIRA Championships April 29-30 at Lake Natoma in Sacramento.
