AS A SOPHOMORE IN 1998: Sensational sophomore campaign saw her emerge as one of the West Coast Conference's top middle blockers... earned second team All-West Coast Conference honors after leading the team in kills (393) and hitting percentage (.359)... set a new single-season record for hitting percentage... kill average of 3.98 ranked second on the school's all-time single season list... kill total of 393 ranked sixth on the school's single season Top 10 list... averaged 4.22 kills a game in conference matches... had 23 double-figure kill matches this season, topped off by a career best 23 kills vs. Loyola Marymount on Oct. 30... saved some of her best matches for Top 25 competition... averaged 4.07 kills a game and hit .313 in eight matches against Top 25 squads... pounded down 34 kills and racked up a .362 hitting percentage against No. 4 UC Santa Barbara, No. 2 CS Long Beach and No. 22 Florida State at the Judy Bellomo Classic... racked up a .688 hitting percentage vs. Yale (13 kills, 2 errors, 16 attempts), which was the fifth-best single-match performance in school history... posted her first of six 20-kill matches at Pepperdine on Oct. 2, finishing with 21...20 kills vs. Pacific on Oct. 6 set a new school record for a three-game match, eclipsing Shauna Jonas' old mark of 19, set Oct. 2, 1990 at Loyola Marymount... finished with 22 kills and a .265 hitting percentage in Santa Clara's win over 16th-ranked San Diego... named the WCC's Player of the Week on Oct. 26 for her play vs. Gonzaga and Portland... pounded down 38 kills and hit for a .397 percentage in the two matches... the Gonzaga match was the first of a 10-match, 36-game stretch in which she averaged 4.47 kills a game while compiling a .387 hitting percentage... her 23 kills helped Santa Clara upset 15th-ranked Loyola Marymount on Oct. 30... had two block solos, three block assists to go along with 12 kills the following night in a straight game victory over Pepperdine... finished with 21 kills and a .357 hitting percentage at San Francisco on Nov. 13.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 1997: Averaged 2.1 kills per game and posted the team's second best hitting percentage with a .262 mark... was a mainstay in the lineup for the first half of the season, but saw limited action over the last seven weeks of the year due to tendinitis in her knees... enjoyed a pair of 17-kill matches vs. Bowling Green and Texas-Arlington... finished with 16 kills vs. Weber State... other double figure kill matches came against Wichita State (11) and Montana (12).

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Castro Valley High School in Castro Valley, Calif., where she played for Eric Boice...led her team to Hayward Area Athletic League titles in 1994, `95 and `96... Castro Valley captured the Northern California Section championship in 1994... first team all-league choice and HAAL's Player of the Year as a junior and senior... team captain as a senior... Castro Valley's all-time career record holder for blocks and kills...totaled 356 kills, 135 digs and 66 block solos as a senior... compiled a .464 hitting percentage... named the Alameda Newspaper Group's Multi-Sport Athlete of the Year as a senior... earned four letters in basketball and track...four-year first team selection in those sports... set school's high jump record... excellent student who graduated with a 3.8 grade point average...
