Full GCC Awards
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Eight Santa Clara women's water polo players were honored on the Golden Coast Conference All-Academic Team on Thursday. There was a total of 74 players from the conference honored.
The team consists of members who carried a 3.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale), played in at least 50-percent of the team¹s contests in the sports respective season and was classified as a full-time student who has completed a minimum of one semester or two quarters at her institution.
Blair Akerland, Emma Allegrucci, Kathryn Burke, Cathy Cantoni, Keri Clifford, Annie Eldredge, Maggie Oys, and Francesca Puccinelli were the Broncos to receive the honor. It was the fourth selection for Cantoni, the third for Akerland and Burke, and the second for Clifford and Puccinelli.
Earlier this month, Akerland, Allegrucci, Burke, Cantoni, Clifford, Oys, and Puccinelli were part of the ACWPC All-Academic Team.
