The Santa Clara cross country teams will once again take to the grass this weekend as it races in its final race before the NCAA West Regional. This weekend the Broncos will run at the Doc Adams Invitational at Putah Creek Reserve in Davis, Calif.

The meet is hosted by UC Davis.  Results can be found by clicking here.

"Doc Adams is a great opportunity for a post-season competition for our athletes," said Bronco head coach Felipe Montoro. "For our men, it represents a chance to get back on track after a tough race at the WCC meet and for the women it is a chance for the athletes that did not get to race in Portland to compete. Pete and I are looking forward to the meet."

The men and women competed at the West Coast Conference Championship in Portland last weekend where the men finished eighth and the women were sixth.

Kate Yanish and Emily Robinson both ran personal bests for the women at the WCC Championships.  Yanish was second for SCU at 22:16, a personal best by 11 seconds. Robinson finished 42nd at 22:17, a personal best by 39 seconds.

On the men's side redshirt-freshman Bryan Crook led the men's team with a personal best as well.  Crook, who finished 32nd in 25:07, ran a personal best by three seconds.

Next weekend the Bronco cross country teams will travel to Seattle, Wash. for the NCAA West Regional on Nov. 9. The race will be run at Jefferson Park Golf Course.
