Broncos Run Well at Doc Adams Invitational

In its final tune-up prior to the NCAA West Regional Championship next weekend, Santa Clara's women finished fourth and the men finished fifth at the Doc Adams Invitational in Davis, Calif.  Santa Clara will travel to Seattle next weekend for the NCAA West Region Championships, hosted by University of Washington.

The Bronco women were led by Hayley Ney's seventh place finish at 22:06.  Allison Maio was 12th at 22:23.  Kelly Ryan was third at 22:33 in 14th place and Lauren Germany was fourth for the Broncos in 48th place at 22:37.  Jamie Anderson rounded out the scoring for the Broncos, finishing in 70th place at 23:16.

Also competing for the women were: Camille Dyer in 98th place at 24:08 and Lauren Spears in 127th place at 24:34.  Hannah Peterson finished in 24:52 and Elsa Valenzuela cross the line in 25:19.

The Bronco men were led by Luca Signore who finished in 10th place at 25:14.  Moises Venegas was second for the Broncos in 21st place at 25:37.  Peter Stephens was 23rd as the third runner at 25:41.  Ezana Tesfu finished 24th at 25:42 and Ryan Greenough rounded out the Broncos scoring in 25th place at 25:43. 

Also competing for the Broncos were Adam Perez, who finished 28th at 25:44 and Matt Mosier, who placed 42nd at 27:05.  Adrian Hinojosa finished in 27:36 and Leland Wong ran a 27:53 to finish the race.
