Four Men's Water Polo Players Named ACWPC All-Academic

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's water polo had five players honored on the 2015 Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) Men's All-Academic Team on Thursday. There were a total of 326 student-athletes recognized.

The total for 2015 is 122 student-athletes higher than 2014 as 204 (33 Outstanding, 75 Superior, 95 Excellent) honors were handed out last year.

Divided into three teams based on cumulative grade point average, athletes received 59 Outstanding (4.00-3.71), 122 Superior (3.70-3.41) and 145 Excellent (3.40-3.20) honors.

The Broncos to received honors were Reilley May, who received Outstanding, and Graham McClone, Sam Torrigino, Julian Fraser, and Chase Schaaf who received Excellent.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete's head coach must be a member of the ACWPC, while the athlete must attain a grade point average in excess of 3.20.
