SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Six Wahine players recorded multi-goal matches as sixth-ranked Hawaii defeated Santa Clara 17-6 this morning at the Leavey Pool. The Broncos fall to 7-16 with the loss while Hawaii improves to 13-3.

The Wahine struck early as Amy Morrow notched a goal on the visitor's first possession, just 27 seconds into the match. Hawaii's Christi Bardecki scored for Hawaii less than a minute later. The teams traded penalty shots in the third quarter and finished the period with the score favoring Hawaii 14-5, with a Bronco goal by sophomore Kelley Mays.

Sophomore Becky Hong, a native Hawaiian, scored Santa Clara's final goal in the fourth quarter.

vanHoff, Andy Nishioka, and Rebecca Angus each recorded three goals for Hawaii, while Garner-Prohs, Christi Bardecki and Morrow added two apiece. Erin Kocher accounts for the Wahine's final tally.

The Broncos will close out the home schedule in the regular season against Loyola Marymount on Friday, April 6 at 4 p.m.
