Dick Davey
Men's Basketball
Davey coached at Santa Clara from 1977-78 through 2006-07. He was an assistant under longtime head coach Carroll Williams before taking over the reins of the program beginning in 1992-93. He guided the Broncos for 15 seasons, posting a 251-190 record (.569) and leading the team to three NCAA Tournament appearances (1992-93, 1994-95, 1995-96). He helped Santa Clara to three regular season West Coast Conference outright or shared titles (1994-95 through 1996-97), four 20-win campaigns, and his teams finished among the top three in the conference standings nine times. He earned WCC Coach of the Year honors in four seasons (1992-93, 1994-95, 1996-97, 2006-07) and when his Santa Clara career ended he ranked second in league history in career league wins (122) behind only his mentor Williams (165), and still ranks fourth on that list. Davey coached four WCC Players of the Year and his players accounted for 34 all-conference honors.

A native of Ceres, California, Davey played basketball and baseball at the University of the Pacific, lettering three times in both sports. He was an All-WCC catcher with the Tigers before signing a professional contract with the San Francisco Giants with whom he spent two seasons in their farm system. He started his coaching career at Leland High School in San Jose and became a collegiate assistant coach in 1971 at Cal. The likeable Davey has always been a favorite at Santa Clara, playing a major role in the lives of nearly everyone connected to him at the school.

Kelly Rickon Mitchell '81
Men's Rowing/Women's Cross Country
Mitchell, a two-sport standout at Santa Clara, was a two-time member of the U.S. Olympic women's rowing team. She was awarded a Congressional gold medal for the boycotted 1980 Olympic Summer games and went on to become the captain of the 1984 Olympic team, helping the Americans claim the silver medal as coxswain. During her junior season, she was also the coxswain for the U.S. women's team that placed sixth at the 1979 World Championships. A member of both the Santa Clara men's rowing and women's cross country teams, she has remained involved in sports. One of the most decorated athletes in school history, Osborne was a three-time first team All-American and 2004 Honda Award winner, as the nation's top women's soccer player. She was also a two-time WCC Player of the Year (2003-04) and earned spots on the 2001 and 2004 College Cup All-Tournament team. Orborne was instrumental in leading the Broncos to the 2001 National Championship, as well as the national semifinals in 2002 and 2004. Only five players in school history have more postseason goals than Osborne who ranks seventh in the Santa Clara record book in both career goals (44) and points (122). Her jersey (No. 10) is one of only four to be honored by Santa Clara and she was inducted into the WCC Hall of Honor in 2014. In addition, Osborne's No. 12 jersey for the Boston Breakers of the Women's Professional Soccer League (WPSL) is retired.

The native of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, was a longtime member of the U.S. National team and competed in the 2007 FIFA World Cup. In her second year as Santa Clara's assistant athletics director for intercollegiate sports and student-athlete leadership, Osborne has a number of other interests, including serving as a national advisory board member of the Positive Coaching Alliance, an official ambassador for Puma and a spokeswoman for T4 Soccer/Sports, and TV soccer analyst for FOX Sports. Osborne is also the co-founder of Sweat Cosmetics.

Winn was a two-sport standout at Santa Clara, but made his mark professionally in baseball. As a senior the following year, he earned All-WCC honors while batting .294 with 30 steals, a mark that still ranks third on the school's single-season list. Before concentrating on baseball, Winn was a two-year member of the Santa Clara basketball team, including the 1992-93 squad which upset No. 2 seed Arizona in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.

A native of Danville, California, Winn was selected in the third round of the 1995 MLB Draft by the Florida Marlins and enjoyed a 13-year professional career.
