The Bronco track team participated in the Woody Wilson Invitational hosted by UC Davis on Sat., April 16. Temperatures in the mid 80's provided excellent conditions for the middle distance events, but made things difficult for those athletes competing in the longer events. The highlight of the meet for SCU was senior Robbie Reid's victory in the 1500m.

The Broncos return to action next Friday, April 22nd at the Brutus Hamilton Open, hosted by Cal.

After leading the entire race, Reid was passed by Gustavo Mena of USF in the final 300m. Reid rallied and ran a strong final 100m to retake the lead and get the win in 3:53.53, his best time so far this season.

Also running well in the men's 1500m were Richard Zhu (3:59.33) Josh Hernandez (3:59.46) Austin Jones (4:00.43 Personal Best), Luca Signore (4:05.18 personal best), Chris Sampson (4:07.53) and Chris Mosier (4:08.16).

The women's 1500m also provided the best finish for the Bronco women's team. Freshman Allie Sibole was the runner-up with a time of 4:44.74. Also running well were Hayley Ney (4:51.78) Erin Hartwig (4:53.46), Nicole Giove (4:58.46) Melissa Conlin (4:58.92) and Kayla Germany (4:59.00).
