SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's soccer heads to Moraga, California, on Sunday to face Saint Mary's College. The match at Saint Mary's Stadium will kickoff at 1 p.m. PT.
The Broncos boast a 41-7-6 all-time record against the Gaels. In the 2015 matchup, SCU won the match at Stevens Stadium, 2-1.
"As you go through a season, you continue to work on your game and solve your problems and figure what you can do to get better," head coach Cameron Rast said. "I think we still have a lot to prove to ourselves. Going into St. Mary's I feel good about how we trained and our performance and I look forward to the challenge."

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (5-7-1, 0-3-1 WCC) has the best goals against average in the West Coast Conference, allowing just 0.82 goals per game. Along with being tops in the league, that is No. 35 mark in the nation. An experienced back line in front of sophomore goalkeepers Dakota Havlick and senior Pasha Hashemi has allowed 11 goals in 13 matches and posted four shutouts.
"I think all week (in training) we've done a better job of making each other and pushing the standard of our play up," Rast said. "I've seen a little bit more free-flow in the attack which has created more goals, which is great to see."
Scoring has not come easy for the Broncos, totaling eight goals in 13 games. Junior Carlos Delgadillo is the leading scorer on the team with three goals, two of which were game-winners. Delgadillo has scored seven game-winners in his career and 17 goals overall. Junior Satoshi "Yoshi" Chaffin has pitched in five points (assists worth one, goals worth two) on the year, scoring and assisting on game-winning goals for the Broncos. Senior Edson Cardona and junior Jonathan Jarrett have also opened their scoring accounts this year.
THE GAELS
Joseph Restani is the top goal-scorer on the team with three on the year, each of which were game-winners. Six other student-athletes have scored two goals, including Stephen Dougherty, who leads the team with four assists. The team has scored 23 goals and assisted on 18 of them.
Remi Prieur and Andrew Konstantino have split time at goalkeeper for the Gaels on the year. Prieur has played in eight matches and allowed eight goals while making 31 saves for a 3-3-1 overall record. Konstantino has played in nine matches, allowing 14 goals and making 38 saves, good for a 3-4-1 record.
SMC posted an overall record of 8-9-1 in 2015 and went 5-2 in league play.
