STANFORD, Calif. – Santa Clara men's water polo received a balanced scoring attack, but Air Force was able to rally for a 15-14 win in Sunday's action at the Mountain Pacific Invitational.

Luca Pagano tallied a career-high three goals and Dane Estrella scored twice and recorded four assists for the Broncos (5-9) in the finale of the three-day, 16-team tournament at Stanford.

Luke Andres and Edward Smet powered the offense for the Falcons (6-11) with five goals apiece, but Ryan Dorris had the game-winner with less than one minute left.

Air Force erased a first-half deficit with four straight goals. The run was capped by Campbell Harris' goal midway through the third and gave the Falcons a 9-8 lead.

The Broncos then came back from three two-goal deficits.

Estrella's goal with 2:51 left in the game knotted the score at 14-all, but Dorris struck on the power play with 37 seconds left.

The Falcons were a perfect 3-for-3 on 5-meter attempts and 5 of 7 with the extra attacker.

Sam Toriggino and Patrick Kirk also scored twice for the Broncos were 3-for-5 on the power play.

NOTES
Sam Toriggino, Patrick Kirk, Reilley May, Dane Estrella, Shane Hughes and Mac Carey have started all 14 games. Sean Tehaney made his fifth-straight start in net.
• Tehaney was credited with eight blocks and a career-best five steals.

NEXT UP
Santa Clara will hold the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament, which begins Friday. The Broncos will play four games over the three-day event, beginning with Friday's matchup against Harvard (2:20 p.m.)
