SAAC Announces Broncos of the Month for October
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Reilley May of Santa Clara men's water polo and Emily Sumner of women's golf have been named the SAAC Broncos of the Month for October.

May helped the Broncos to a 4-0 record at the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament with wins against then No. 13 Harvard, No. 14 Bucknell, No. 20 Wagner and St. Francis.  The senior was named the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) Player of the Week after totaling 10 goals, drawing 16 ejections and five penalty shots, and posting four steals in the team's four games.  May also became the school's all-time leader in earned ejections.

Sumner helped lead the team to a first-place finish at the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational at the Tacoma Country and Gold Club in Lakewood, Wash.  The sophomore carded a tournament-low tying 3-under 69 on the final day to pace the Broncos to finish in the top-10 for the tournament.  Sumner then went on to shoot her career best (72-68-75 = 215 (-1)) at the UC Irvine Invitational at the Santa Ana Country Club in Santa Ana, Calif. to earn another top-10 finish.

At the end of each month, members of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will vote for one male and one female student-athlete.
