Thise six teams, along with beach volleyball and men's track, also earned public recognition by finishing in the top 10 percent nationally in their sport.
It marked the seventh year in a row earning public recognition for women's tennis, sixth for women's golf, fifth for women's cross country, fourth for women's track, third for softball and second for men's golf.
The APR provides a real-time look at a team's academic success by tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete during the school year. The APR accounts for eligibility, retention and graduation in the calculation and provides a measure of each team's academic performance.
This APR is based on data submitted by the institution for the 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18, and 2018-19 academic years.

HACKWORTH FELLOWS
Four student-athletes were honored as Hackworth Fellows by the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics for the 2019-20 academic year.
Sahil Sagar, who will also be the ASG student body president, of men's rowing is majoring in economics with a minor in entrepreneurship.
Shane Hughes of men's water polo is majoring in political science and entrepreneurship. He is a two-time WWPA All-Academic selection.
Delaney Nothaft of women's tennis is a communication major with a minor in philosophy.
Khiely Jackson is on the track and cross country teams and is majoring in ethnic studies and public health science.
The goal of the program is to have Fellows engage more deeply with the application of ethics to a topic of concrete concern, to complete an important project related to that concern, and to grow as an ethical leader. In order to pursue this goal, Fellows are expected either to develop their own programs in an area of interest to them or to work with existing programs at the Ethics Center. These programs can be on as wide a range of topics and use as wide a range of methods as are of interest to each fellow.
The Fellowships are for the duration of senior year and have a stipend of $4,000.
The Hackworth Fellowships are supported by a gift from Joan and the late Michael Hackworth.
