Men and Women's Crew to Hold Annual Tryouts

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara University men and women's crew will host two informal information based meetings regarding tryouts for the upcoming season.

The meetings are scheduled for Tuesday, September 30 and Wednesday, October 1 in the Daly Science Building on the SCU campus. Both meetings will begin at 7 p.m. and will be locted in room 206.

No prior rowing experience is necessary for eith the men or women's teams. The great majority of collegiate rowers have no rowing experience prior to their freshman year. The ideal candidate is someone who loves sportsand wants to commit to being part of a NCAA Division I team. A love of athletics, a passion for competition, and a willingness to learn a new sport is all that is required to become a member of these highly competitive crews.

The teams are also looking for smaller male and female athletes (under 125 lbs) to become coxswains.
