SANTA CLARA, Calif. - With the regular season in the books, the Santa Clara men's tennis team now turns its attention to the West Coast Conference Championships where they will open up play this Wednesday with a match against Gonzaga University.
Finishing 9-12 overall and 3-6 in conference action this spring, the Broncos earned the No. 8 seed and will take on the No. 9 seeded Bulldogs at noon in just two days down in San Diego, Calif.
This past weekend, Santa Clara defeated Gonzaga by a score of 4-2 at the Degheri Tennis Center, its 10th victory over the rivals from the Pacific Northwest in 12 matches.
The winner of that match will face the No. 1 seeded and defending champion Toreros from the University of San Diego on Thursday afternoon.
