BERKELEY, Calif. - The 19th-ranked Santa Clara men's water polo team dropped a 14-3 contest against fourth-ranked California in Berkeley, Calif. on Sunday morning. The Bronco's record now stands at 9-19 heading into their final regular season match.

"We didn't have the best offensive first half," said head coach Keith Wilbur. "We were able to come out and score some goals in the second half though. California is a strong team and this match will be a good building block for us heading into the playoffs."

Freshman Chris Parolin led the way with two goals, while fellow freshman Josh Early posted the other SCU score. Early also earned a kick-out, while Kenny Flanagan-De La Hoz recorded two of his own.

Santa Clara will conclude its regular season schedule against Pacific in Stockton, Calif. on Saturday afternoon in a 3:00 p.m. contest. Following the match with Pacific, the Broncos will head to the Western Water Polo Association Championships at Davis from November 18-20.
