Road Contests at Gonzaga and Portland on Tap for Women’s Tennis

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – A couple of road contests in the Pacific Northwest are on tap for Santa Clara women's tennis this week when they play at Gonzaga on Friday and Portland on Saturday.

Friday's first serve is at 2 p.m. and Saturday's at 11 a.m.

Santa Clara (2-9, 0-3) lost a tight 4-3 match to Saint Mary's last Saturday and is currently mired in a six-match losing streak.  Varya Zlotnik had a strong week of play where she collected four total wins against Pacific and Saint Mary's last week.

Gonzaga (9-4, 1-1) fell to BYU on the road in its last match.  The Bullldogs are 8-1 at home this season on the courts of Stevens Center.

Portland (1-9, 0-3) faces San Francisco the day before playing Santa Clara.  The Pilots have lost six-straight and are 0-4 at home.
