Broncos Win Fourth Straight with 15-6 Win Over Cal State East Bay

HAYWARD, Calif. - The Santa Clara women's water polo team tallied it fourth straight victory as it defeated Cal State East Bay (formerly Cal State Hayward), 15-6 on Saturday morning. With the victory, the 20th-ranked Broncos improve to 4-2 on the season.

Senior captain Catherine Flynn led the Broncos with four goals as seven different players registered a goal in the contest. Katie Radvanyi tallied a hat trick, while Kellie Dunn and Kathleen Hamm each found the back of the net twice for SCU.

On the other side of the pool, SCU posted a strong defensive showing as Radvanyi spearheaded the defensive efforts. She recorded six steals in the match, as Alanna Simpkins added three.

Goalkeeper Kristin Barnes played the first three quarters in the cage for Santa Clara. She notched eight blocks and added two steals and an assist. Freshman Randahl Capurro took over in the fourth quarter as she posted two blocks in the final frame.

Santa Clara will continue action today as it travels to Rohnert Park for a 3 p.m. meeting with Sonoma State.
