SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara women's water polo team dropped an 11-5 match against Hartwick College at Leavey Pool on Saturday afternoon. The Broncos are now 11-10 on the season after a pair of matches during spring break.

"Today was one of the most physical games we have played this season," said head coach Keith Wilbur. "Hartwick came out on fire. I think they can be one of the teams to compete for the Final Four bid from the East Coast this year. We managed to respond in the second half. Although it was a tough loss, this is something we can build on for the future."

Catherine Flynn led all Bronco scorers with a pair of goals in the contest. Lindsey Bacolini, Kathleen Hamm and Katie Radvanyi each found the back of the net in the match to round out the Bronco scoring. Flynn, Hamm, Radvanyi and Emily Bonk all drew a kick-out, while Kellie Dunn drew a four-meter penalty shot.

On the defensive side, goalkeeper Kristin Barnes posted seven blocks to go along with a steal.

The Broncos will conclude their homestand next weekend with a pair of matches at Leavey Pool. On Saturday, SCU will host Cal State East Bay in a noon match before facing UC Santa Cruz at noon on Sunday.
