Women’s Water Polo Plays Locally at San Jose State Friday

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – After playing six games on the road, the Santa Clara women's water polo team returns to the area to play at No. 10 San Jose State on Friday at 3 p.m.

The Broncos (2-4) are coming off of a challenging weekend at the Triton Invitational hosted by UC San Diego including a matchup against No. 2 USC.

Freshman standout Hannah Buck leads Santa Clara with nine goals. Cathy Cantoni and Elizabeth Anderson each have eight goals. Elle Surber has contributed 10 assists and 16 earned ejections through the first six games of the season.

Senior goalkeeper Sydni Estrella has started in the net five times for the Broncos this season and saved 41 shots.

After facing the Spartans, SCU will travel to Southern California to face Cal Lutheran on Feb. 27.
