Full GCC Awards
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's water polo had nine players honored on the Golden Coast Conference All-Academic list on Friday. Only two teams in the conference had more players make the list. A total of 63 student-athletes made the list.
The team consists of members who carried a 3.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale), played in at least 50-percent of the team¹s contests in the sports respective season and was classified as a full-time student who has completed a minimum of one semester or two quarters at her institution.
The nine Broncos were: Blair Akerland, Kathryn Burke, Cathy Cantoni, Keri Clifford, Liliana King-Adas, Paige Kohut, Francesca Puccinelli, Erin Sheridan, and Elle Surber. It was the third honor for Cantoni, Sheridan, and Surber and the second for Akerland and Burke.
Last month Akerland, Burke, Cantoni, Clifford, Puccinelli, Sheridan, and Surber were also named ACWPC All-Academic.
