Eskey is part of a three-person staff that handles the department's media relations efforts. She serves as the primary publicity contact for eight of 19 Bronco sports: women's basketball, women's soccer, volleyball, softball, men's and women's tennis, and men's and women's golf. Additionally, Eskey supervises the office's student staff.

In July 2002, Eskey received the Will Hancock Award by the Official College Sports Network (Formerly FANSonly) for the top SID in the nation who demonstrated creativity, leadership and dedication in the management of their Official Athletic Site during the 2001-02 academic year. She has also recieved three honors from CoSIDA, as her 2001-02 women's basketball game day program was voted best cover in the country, the 2001 women's soccer guide was voted the top publication in District VIII, and the 2003 tennis guide earned best cover in the country honors for multi-sport guides.

Eskey came to Santa Clara in June 2000 following a stint at her alma mater, Arizona State University. While at ASU, she served as the primary media relations contact for women's tennis, men's and women's cross country and the men's and women's track and field program that featured 2000 Olympic long jumper Dwight Phillips.

Prior to Arizona State, Eskey served as the media relations assistant for USA Triathlon, the governing body for the sport in the United States. She assisted in the education and promotion of USA Triathlon's National, Collegiate, Junior and Resident Teams as the sport neared its Olympic debut in the 2000 Sydney Games. Additionally, she was instrumental in launching the organization's first Internet site and was the primary media contact for the 1999 Age Group National Championships in St. Joseph, Mo. Eskey also successfully pitched feature articles that were picked up in national publications such as the New York Times and ESPN Magazine.

While a member of Arizona State's Honors Program, Eskey placed third in the 1998 William Randolph Hearst Collegiate Sportswriting competition and saw her undergraduate thesis on Proposition 48 athletes picked up by a local newspaper. She received a bachelor's in Journalism, magna cum laude, in 1998.

Following graduation, she began her career in college athletics at Stanford University. While a member of the Cardinal athletic staff, Eskey worked closely with Wilson/ITA National Coach of the Decade Frank Brennan as his team won its 10th NCAA Championship in 1999. She handled the publicity for six of Stanford's 33 sports, including the four-time national championship volleyball and two-time national championship women's basketball programs. Additionally, Eskey was the interview room coordinator for the 1999 Women's Final Four, hosted by Stanford at the Compaq Center at San Jose, site of the 2002 NCAA Men's Basketball West Regional that was hosted by Santa Clara.

She has also served internships with the American Junior Golf Association, the NHL's Phoenix Coyotes and two Phoenix-based radio (KNIX) and television (KPHO) stations. Eskey is single, resides in Santa Clara, and volunteers for the Read Santa Clara Adult Literacy Program. In June 2005, she graduated with an MBA from Santa Clara's Leavey School of Business. Her concentrations are in marketing management, finance and entrepreneurship.
