AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2006: Co-leader (with teammate Daniel DeMarco) in the West Coast Conference in mound appearances with 29 ... all 29 appearances came in relief ... went 2-1 with a save and struck out 46 batters in 53.2 innings pitched ... went six-straight appearances without allowing a run (March 26-April 10 ... tossed 9.1 innings and struck out five batters in that span ... earned his first win with two shutout innings of one-hit ball April 8 at Gonzaga ... earned the save on April 10 by getting the final two outs of an 8-7 win at Gonzaga ... from April 18-May 9 put together a stretch of nine appearances without yielding a run ... span lasted 15.2 innings, in which he also struck out 16 batters ... tossed two shutout innings of relief at Stanford on April 25 to earn second win ... struck out five Stanford batters in five innings of work on May 9 ... again struck out five in a four and a third-inning stint against Portland on May 13.
