AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR IN 2008: Made 17 appearances, starting in eight ... ranked fifth on the team in innings pitched (47.2) and batters struck out (47) ... saw his first start of the season against Pacific (Feb. 27), pitching 4.1 innings striking out four batters ... pitched 6.2 innings in his second start of the season allowing two runs and striking out five batters ... made his fourth start, pitching 4.1 innings against Cal Poly (Mar. 12) ... made his fifth start of the season and his first at home with 3.1 innings against then-No. 11 Cal (Mar. 25) ... earned his first win of the season tossing 7.0 innings and striking out nine batters against Washington State (Mar. 31) ... tossed 2.1 innings of relief in game three against Saint Mary's (May 11), striking out six batters

AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN IN 2006: Named to the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America team by Collegiate Baseball ... also earned spots on the All-West Coast Conference Second Team and and 10th in strikeouts (66) ... Started all 14 games on the mound in which he appeared ... had one of the finest freshman campaigns for an SCU pitcher in history ... went 9-2 with a 3.54 ERA and struck out 66 batters in 84.0 innings of work ... tossed five innings of three-hit, shutout ball and struck out five in his debut Feb. 5 at Pacific for his first win ... struck out three over another five-inning outing Feb. 12 against San Diego State to get his second win ... tossed seven and a third shutout innings and struck out five while allowing only five hits against San Jose State March 5 to up his record to 3-0 ... allowed no runs in his next three outings ... improved to 4-1 with a six and a third-inning performance March 19 against Northwestern in which he allowed only five hits ... got his fifth win March 29 against Cal State Monterey Bay ... struck out eight San Francisco batters while allowing only three hits and no runs in five and a third innings of work, but took a no-decision ... allowed only two runs and struck out six at Gonzaga on April 10 to earn sixth win ... suffered second loss of the season April 15 against Pepperdine despite a solid six-inning outing in which he allowed only two runs on eight hits ... scattered five hits and three runs over seven and two-thirds innings to improve to 7-2 April 23 at Loyola Marymount ... went eight innings and struck out a career-high 10 batters in winning a wild 10-6 affair April 29 against Saint Mary's to improve to 8-2 ... won his final start of the season May 12 against Portland ... struck out nine batters and yielded only six hits over six and a third innings.
