Women's Crew Battles Through Final Day of PCRC's

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. - The Santa Clara University women's crew battled through their final competition of the year at the Pacific Coast Rowing Championships at Lake Natoma near Sacramento, Calif.

The women's varsity eight finished fifth in heat No. 1 of their division, crossing the finish line in a time of 7:35.0. The time was good enough to place them in the 3rd Final of the event where the Broncos finished first in a time of 7:56.5, seven full seconds ahead of second place finisher Oregon.

The women's varsity four finished fifth in heat No. 2 of that division in a time of 8:27.6, qualifying them for a place in the petite finals later on in the day. In the petite finals, the Broncos finished fourth, crossing the finish line in a time of 8:49.0.

The women's junior varsity eight finished sixth in heat No. 1 of their division, placing them in the petite finals. In that race, Santa Clara finished sixth in a time of 7:48.4 to finish the season for the Broncos.
