AS A SENIOR IN 2001: The 2001 team captain... a 2001 Preseason All-America selection... has started all 19 matches for the Broncos this season... is second on the team in goals scored with three, and third on the team in points with six... has taken only six shots this season, scoring on half of his chances... scored the game-winning goal in the 2-1 overtime victory against Oregon State in the USF/Diadora Classic... scored the game-winning goal in the 2-1 overtime win against San Francisco... scored the first goal in the 3-1 victory over then No. 17 Gonzaga on a penalty kick... earned All-Tournament Team honors in the Santa Clara adidas Classic... has anchored one of the nation's best defenses, leading the Broncos to a 0.75 gaols-against average, allowing only 15 goals in 19 matches.

AS A JUNIOR IN 2000: Garnered WCC Defender of the Year and First Team All-WCC honors for his play... one of only five players to start in all 17 matches for the Broncos... continued streak of not missing a game of his collegiate career... was a defensive force and fierce competitor that captained the Broncos last season...scored third goal of career against Oregon State on September 14th... lone goal of the season came at the 35:56 mark and was the game-winner in his home state of Washington, at the Washington Husky Classic in Seattle... helped add another 10 shutouts on the year, bringing the total number of shutouts to 31 in his three years at SCU... has helped to lead the defense to a remarkable 0.76 GAA average over the last three seasons.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 1999: Was a stalwart on one of the top defensive units in school history... a second team All-WCC honoree... one of only three Broncos to start in all 23 matches... has helped Santa Clara to post 11 shutouts and a 0.69 GAA in 1999 and 21 blankings and a 0.71 mark during the last two campaigns... scored both of his career goals in 1999... also charted 10 shots on goal... beat the San Diego State keeper at 81:42 as the Broncos downed the Aztecs 4-1 on Sept. 23... scored at the 81:53 mark to knot the game at Loyola Marymount 1-1 and give Santa Clara a tie in the WCC finale... named to the Clemson Invitational All-Tournament team.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 1998: Appeared in all 22 matches, including six starts... stepped into the starting midfielder spot after an injury to Adam Eyre... earned his first collegiate start against San Francisco on Nov. 6... his late assist helped seal Santa Clara's 4-2 win over Saint Mary's on Nov. 12.

HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL: Graduate of Newport High School in Bellevue, Wash... played for head coaches Pablo Merdes and Brad Elmerhurst at Newport High School... led team to 1997 Kingco league championship and a second place finish in the state championships... selected first team All-Kingco and All-Eastside... led club team to the 1998 Washington State Championship and a place in the Far West Regional Tournament... was a member of Newport High School's honor roll... son of Doug and Kathy Stewart... born June 21, 1980 in Bellevue, Wash.
