AS A JUNIOR IN 2001-02: Named to the All-Tournament team at the Golden Gopher Basketball Classic after leading the Broncos to a season-opening win against No. 24 Utah with a career-high 21 points... added nine rebounds and four steals in the victory, going 8-of-14 from the floor... against host Minnesota, went 4-of-7 and posted nine points, seven rebounds, two assists, three steals and one block... Named the WCC/Rawlings Player of the Week for those efforts... started the first 11 contests and had 29 starts overall... saw action in all 31... ranked ninth in the WCC in steals, with 1.48, and was one of only two forwards ranked in the top 10... also ranked eighth in field goal percentage (.466), ninth in the league in rebounds (5.9), 10th in blocks (.68) and 19th in scoring (11.2)... added 11 points at TCU, nine of which came in the Broncos' second-half comeback attempt... notched five assists against Portland... notched first career double-double, an 18-point, 10-rebound effort at Pepperdine... added a 17-point, 5-rebound effort at Portland... scored 20 points against LMU, one off her career high... had a solid performance vs. Saint Mary's in the WCC Tournament, with 11 points and seven rebounds, including a free throw with 28 seconds remaining to secure the victory... matched her first double-double of the season with an 18-point, 10-rebound performance in the NCAA first round vs. LSU... also tied a career high in assists, with five.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2000-01: Played in 25 games for the Broncos at forward, starting in three... missed the first three games of the season after breaking her left ankle in a pick-up game four days before practices began... also tore ligaments in that ankle... it was the same pick-up game that teammate Tammy Annas tore her ACL... registered 10 games with double-digit scoring... posted a career-high 17 points on 8-13 shooting in a league-opening victory over Pepperdine... added three assists and three steals against the Waves... Recorded her first career double-double at Loyola Marymount, with 10 points and a career-high 10 rebounds... added 10 points in each of the team's last two regular season games, at Gonzaga and Portland.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 1999-00: Averaged 5.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 13.5 minutes per game in 26 games played... connected on 16 of first 19 shots of the season... established a career high of 15 points during her best game of the season against Gonzaga on Feb. 24, and in assists with 3 against George Washington on Dec. 20... made 4 of 4 free throws against Colorado State, and averaged .550 for the season... grabbed seven rebounds against San Diego and totaled 77 for the season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Bellarmine Prep in Tacoma, Wash... played for head coaches Mariann O'Dell and Cari Harrison at Bellarmine... averaged 23.0 points and 12.0 rebounds per game her senior season... earned four appearances on the Narrows League first team... selected the Narrows League Player of the Year her senior campaign... named the Tacoma News Tribune Player of the Year as a senior... honored as the Bellarmine Prep Player of the Year and Female Athlete of the Year... an honorable mention USA Today All-America selection following her senior season.

PERSONAL: Full name is Julia Kay Butler... born October 27, 1980 in Tacoma, Wash... parents are John and Linda Butler and Kathy and Jim Tschimperle... sister Kim is a freshman on this year's squad... majoring in sociology... spent this past summer playing in the Blue Angels Summer League in Washington with teammates Becki Ashbaugh, Kayla Huss and Quinn Thomas.
