AS A SENIOR IN 2005-06: Named to All-WCC First Team ... was named February's WCC Player of the Month ... AS A FRESHMAN IN 2001-02: Saw action in 25 contests... earned first collegiate start against San Jose State... registered 10 points, seven assists and four rebounds as a reserve against Princeton... was perfect against CS Northridge, going 3-3 from the field and 2-2 from the charity stripe for nine points... two of those baskets came during a 13-0 first-half Bronco run... added a career-high nine assists while adding four rebounds in 18 minutes of action... came off the bench against San Francisco and nailed a three-pointer to tie the game midway through the second half... the Broncos won that contest by one point.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played guard for head coach Dave Roberts at Cascade High School in Everett, Wash... led Cascade to a sixth-place finish at the 4A state tournament as a sophomore... it marked the school's first appearance in the playoffs in 34 years... tied a state tournament record of six three-pointers in one game and had a tournament-high 94 percent at the free throw line (16 of 17)... averaged 18.8 points per game as a junior in addition to shooting 50 percent from the three-point line... became Cascade's all-time leading scorer as a senior and finished with 1,777 points... as the team's only senior, led the team back to the state tournament... averaged 21 points, five assists and shot 58 percent from the field as a senior... was named All-Wesco 4A all four years and first team All-State as a sophomore and senior... was named to the Washington-Oregon All-Star Team... also earned Emerald City All-Star honors... also lettered in volleyball.

PERSONAL: Full name is Kayla Marie Huss... born in Spokane, Wash... parents are Dave and Jan Huss... majoring in English with a minor in religious studies... spent the 2002 summer playing in the Blue Angels Summer League in Washington with Bronco teammates Becki Ashbaugh, Julie Butler and Quinn Thomas.
