No. 34 Santa Defeats No. 49 Cal Poly 6-1

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – After a slow start to the match, No. 34 Santa Clara (17-4; 3-1) overcame losing the doubles point to surge through singles play and secure a 6-1 victory over No. 49 Cal Poly. The dual match was highlighted by Kyle Dandan's victory over the nation's No. 20 singles player, Andre Dome.

In the doubles portion, No. 49 Cal Poly looked to have the upper hand. Cal Poly took the doubles point taking two of three doubles bouts.
"I was happy with the effor after we gave no energy in doubles," said Santa Clara head coach Derek Mills. "We came out in singles and wanted to win. We gave awesome energy and focus."

After going down early, Santa Clara surged back by sweeping singles play. Kyle Dandan, the ITA's No. 111 singles started the singles play with an impressive victory over No. 20 Andre Dome.
