"We were in a tough situation tonight, in a lot of different ways. I thought our kids fought hard and played to the end.""This is the pace we like and we didn't want to change anything we've been doing all year just for tonight. When it gets going up and down like it did tonight, it was to our advantage; that's when we came back and took the lead. To sustain that for 40 minutes with few bodies is tough."
On FSU's 13 three-pointers in the game
"We knew they had the capability of doing that. They have very good outside shooters. Did I expect that? I would have hoped not, but they got on a roll and gained momentum and confidence, just making one after another."
On scoring streaks
"It was a game of runs. We came out in the second half and cut the deficit, and took the lead, right away, which was what we needed to do. Then they came back and made a run. I had a feeling it was going to be like that all the way down to the wire. They kind of took over toward the end."
On dressing only seven players
"I don't think that was the entire reason. Fresno made shots, and killed us on the offense boards. It was tough, though, Whitney Sutak having to step into the point position and run the whole show. She's played point this year, but like in the situation she was put in tonight. I thought she did a very good job."
On coming back to Fresno State
"It was a lot of different emotions. I had a lot of great memories here and it's great to come back and see so many familiar faces. But I always wanted to be a winner in that gym."
