SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's rowing concludes its 2021 season at the West Coast Conference Championships Saturday.
Last time out, the Broncos were at Lake Natoma where they faced Cal, Sacramento State, and UC San Diego.
This will be the last race for seniors Mollie Mertes, Morgan Jackson, Juliana Bernado and Adriana Moses.
"We've made noticeable improvements since our last race both in our application of technique and in our fitness, especially at higher stroke ratings," Santa Clara head coach Matt Pinschmidt said. "I made some changes in how the rowers are connecting with the boat at their feet, which they feel good about as well. We are certainly faster and more fit now than we have been all season. I'm excited to see how that all manifests this Saturday at WCC's, especially for the seniors who have dedicated so much of their time and effort to rowing while at Santa Clara. Their contributions to Santa Clara women's rowing have been immense and appreciated by everyone on the team. I have every confidence that they and their teammates will crush this last statement of the season."
After the races, All-WCC teams will be announced.
