SANTA CLARA, Calif. – In its second game of the spring season, Santa Clara women's soccer topped Cal 3-2. Brittany Ambrose scored two goals and Kat McAuliffe scored the game winner. Katie Speidel and Jordan Jesolva each picked up one assist.

"I think our game against Cal was a better performance than our first game of the season," said Santa Clara head coach Jerry Smith. "We allowed two goals but we have to give Cal credit for that. We were able to get the game-winner on an unbelievable goal by Kat. In all it was a much better performance. The team walked away knowing we have a lot to work on but feeling good about the improvements we made."

The Broncos play next on Thurs., April 17 at 7 p.m. vs. Bay Area Breeze at Buck Shaw.
