Head Coach Jon Wallace
On the match against San Diego:
"The momentum of our game was decided in our talks in the team room. We talked about how we wanted to compete and, even though we got a little knocked off in game two, we came right back in game three. We had to play Bronco volleyball and be unfazed by what San Diego was doing and that's how we won tonight."
On Lindsy Evans overall performance:
"Lindsy was a key part in our scouting report. She was given a really good player to cover and she did a real nice job. She also provided our middle attack threat all night long."
On Brittany Lowe's offensive play:
"Brittany played extremely aggressive in the front court tonight. She was able to take good advantage of their blockers."
On Nichole Clark's match and career best seven total blocks:
"Nichole was very steady for us tonight and she was able to keep their blockers guessing throughout the match, which helped us a lot."
On Crystal Matich's leadership on the court:
"Crystal played an amazing match tonight. She knew exactly what we needed to do offensively and she made strong aggressive attacks. She also blocked great and her setting and leadership on the court allowed us to be good tonight."
On Saturday's match against San Francisco:
"It's going to be extremely important that we go into Saturday's match and the remainder of the season with the same mental focus and high level of energy. We have to play hard and we have to play Bronco volleyball and place out trust in it."
Sophomore Lindsy Evans
On her feelings going into the match:
"I was really nervous because of the outcomes of last year's matches and with the injuries we have dealt with as a team and the trials we've gone through. But when we got on the court, all the nerves went away."
On the match-winning block:
"When Nichole and I jumped up, she was already smiling and I just knew we were going to get it."
Junior Nichole Clark
On what goes through her mind when blocking:
"I just try to get my feet as close to the blocker next to me and press over. We worked a lot on blocking during the past couple of practices. It really helped get us ready for the match."
On her block assist with Lindsy Evans:
"I smiled before the ball hit the ground. In mid-block I thought to myself we've won. It was just a great feeling and everyone just had huge smiles on their faces."
On how the victory will help the remainder of the season:
"It was the confidence boost we needed. Before today, we may have been unsure. But the win just pushed us over the top and now we know that we can go for anything and that if everyone does what is needed, we can win any match."
