SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP)--John Bryant, playing in his final home game as a Bronco, scored 22 points and grabbed 21 rebounds, lifting Santa Clara to a 67-65 victory in overtime over Portland on Saturday.
Bryant had his 14th consecutive double-double and 24th of the season, No. 1 in the nation, for Santa Clara (15-16, 7-7 WCC). He recorded his fifth game of at least 20 points and 20 rebounds, also the most in the nation.
T.J. Campbell led Portland (18-11, 9-5) with 15 points, while Nik Raivio had 11.
James Rahon scored 16 points for the Broncos, and Marc Trasolini added 12.
Bryant set a Santa Clara single-season rebounding record with 430, surpassing Dennis Awtrey's total of 409 in the 1969-70 season.
