Broncos Move Up After Second Round of the 63rd Annual Western Intercollegiate

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Santa Clara men's golf team moved up one spot to No. 17 after the second round of the 63rd Annual Western Intercollegiate at Pasatiempo Golf Course in Santa Cruz today. After 36 holes, the Broncos have a team score of 648 (+82) and junior Jimmy Cacho leads the group with a score of 157.

Cacho moved up from tied for 69th to being tied for 66th place. Alex Bon climbed from being tied for 77th to being tied for 70th. Shaun Pienkos also climbed to a tied for 86th.

Oregon State's Diego Velasquez jumped from a tied for 31st after round one to first place in the individual stands after round two. He shot a 66 on day two and is currently even. Fresno State remains the team leader at 19-over 579.
