Meet the Future of Bronco Men’s Soccer – Dominic Vegaalban

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's soccer announced the third member of the 2021 recruiting class, Dominic Vegaalban, a forward from Rocklin, California, who was part of the U14 and U16 U.S. Boys' National Teams as well as the U18/19 U.S. Men's National Pool.

"I chose Santa Clara because it is a top-notch educational institution and historically, a great soccer program with an experienced coaching staff that has national and professional level experiences and backgrounds," said Vegaalban.  "The Mission Campus is beautiful with an excellent location right in the heart of Silicon Valley.  I am impressed with the smaller student to teacher ratio that provides a more personalized education.  While being on campus I felt it in my heart and soul that this was the place I was meant to be."

The 5-foot-10 Vegaalban attends Visions in Education and has been in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy for five years - with Sacramento Republic FC, Seattle Sounders FC, Sacramento Republic FC and De Anza Force SC.

"Dominic brings an impactful attacking force to our frontline. He has a physical presence and is active in running behind defending lines and at defenders. Just as he is active in attack his relentless workrate will cause just as many problems when defending," said Broncos head coach Cam Rast.  "He has some great experience playing at high levels and brings a tremendous, team centered approach to the program."
