The No. 53 Santa Clara men's tennis team defeated Montana 6-1 on a gorgeous, sunny Saturday afternoon. SCU moves to 11-4 and have won four straight. Montana falls to 4-4 and 2-0 in the Big Sky.
Santa Clara returns to action April 3 when it hosts USF at Noon and then returns to the courts the next day, April 4, when it hosts Gonzaga at Noon as well.
Santa Clara's No. 1 player, Kyle Dandan defeated Carl Kuschke 6-2, 6-1 to lead the Broncos on the singles side. Also sweeping their matches in straight sets were No. 2 Brian Brogan, No. 4 Nicolas Vinel and No. 6 Tom Pahm.
Santa Clara won the doubles point with three wins over the Grizzlies.
