Men's Tennis Earn No. 2 Seed At WCC Tournament

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - This weekend the Santa Clara men's tennis team begins its post season in San Diego at the West Coast Conference Tournament. The Broncos (16-6, 3-1 WCC) earned a No. 2 seed in the tournament and will take on seventh seeded Saint Mary's on Friday morning, April 23, at 11:30 a.m. SCU enters the weekend coming off of a 6-1 win over the Gaels on April 17.

With senior leadership and outstanding underclassmen, Santa Clara has the opportunity to continue this season's consistent success. The Broncos have been led this season by seniors Brian Brogan and Jay Wong, who have compiled dual season singles records of 13-7 and 12-8, respectively. Freshmen Tom Pham and Eugene Muchynski have consistently made winning contributions for the team, earning 13-6 and 7-3 dual season singles records, respectively.

The Broncos first match is set for Friday, April 23 at 11:30 a.m. at the Barnes Tennis Center of San Diego.
