Five Broncos Earn All-WCC Tennis Honors

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Over the weekend the Santa Clara men's tennis team added more accolades to an already record breaking season as the West Coast Conference released All-WCC singles and doubles teams. Four Broncos earned spots on All Conference singles teams, while Brian Brogan and Jay Wong earned All-WCC Second Team Doubles honors. Brian Brogan and Kyle Dandan were honored with Second Team Singles accolades, while Andrew Kells and Tom Pham received Honorable Mention honors.

Earning Second Team Singles honors, Brogan and Dandan compiled dual season singles records of 13-9 and 13-11, respectively. In WCC action, Brogan came out with an even 3-3 record, while Dandan collected a 4-1 record. Both Dandan and Brogan led the Broncos at No. 1 and 2 singles positions. With Honorable Mention Singles honors, Kells earned a dual season record of 10-5, with a 2-0 WCC record, playing at both No. 3 and 4 singles. Pham had an outstanding freshman season as he collected a 16-6 dual season, 6-1 WCC record as played primarily at No. 6 singles.

On the doubles side of All Conference honors, senior duo of Brogan and Wong earned Second Team honors. The pair led the Broncos at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles with a 16-8 season record. In WCC action, the senior duo finished the post-season at 2-4 on the year.

With five Broncos earning All Conference honors, SCU men's tennis caps off an outstanding record breaking season after finishing runner-up at the WCC tournament and earning a No. 54 national ranking.
