SANTA CLARA, Calif. – After splitting two games at home Saturday, Santa Clara women's water polo is back on the road this weekend, heading to Ann Arbor, Michigan, for the eight-team Wolverine Invitational.

The two-day tournament features four of the top nine teams in the country, including host Michigan, which is ranked No. 7.

The Broncos (4-9) face three of the top 18 programs in the nation. Their four-game slate begins with Bucknell (6-5) at 11:50 a.m. Pacific on Saturday, followed by matchup vs. No. 18 Hartwick (7-2) at 3:30 p.m.

Santa Clara closes play Sunday by meeting No. 5 Arizona State at 8:30 a.m. and the Wolverines (10-7) at 1:10 p.m.

On Saturday, Santa Clara defeated Cal. State Monterey Bay, 10-5, then lost to No. 13 UC Davis, 11-7.

Hannah Buck scored a game-high four goals Cal State Monterey Bay, but the Broncos weren't able to keep that momentum going against UC Davis, which scored three goals in the fourth quarter to pull away the victory.

Buck, a sophomore, continues to lead the team in scoring (17 goals) and kickouts drawn 927). Senior Cathy Cantoni has a team-high 11 assists and is first in steals with 13.

Pacific, UC Irvine and UC Davis round out the field at the Wolverine Invitational.
