SANTA CLARA, Calif. - This past weekend marked the conclusion of numerous Santa Clara student-athletes' careers, as the University conferred degrees to 52 Broncos.
Of the 17 varsity programs, 15 had at least one graduate representing their respective teams. On the women's side, basketball combined for five graduates, while softball and tennis each had four. On the men's side, baseball and crew had seven new alums each, while cross country had four.

Additionally, former runners Dominic Ricci and Michael Neumann also graduated. Both have eligibility left, but Ricci is attending med school at Loyola (Chicago) and will spend his last year of eligibility in Budapest teaching English as a second language. Neumann will be attending grad school in engineering at Santa Clara while completing his eligibility.
Others who walked Saturday and have run cross country, but not during their senior year: Adam Lowry, Kristin Love, Jenny Smokey (WCC freshman of the year 1999), Annie Gastelum, Erin Skourtes and Molly McManus. Love is working in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in Houston and Smokey is going to med school at the University of Nevada.
