State (Feb. 22) in Raleigh, taking the loss in three innings of six-hit ball ... would be used mostly in relief and three more times as a spot starter ... gave up 60 hits in 34 2/3 innings while striking out 27 ... went 1-4 on the year with a 8.31 ERA ... had a solid relief outing against Cal (Mar. 25), striking out four ... worked a season-high seven innings against Long Beach State (Mar. 31) ... earned his first collegiate win after 4 2/3 innings of long-relief in SCU's 13-9 victory over Stanford (May 6).
